EXPANDING KNOWLEDGE IN INQUIRING MINDS WILLING TO SPREAD THE AWARENESS ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH
Why Teenage Times?
Many teenagers feel that if they express their mental health status, they will be plagued with the stigma that it carries. The reality, however, is the contrary, as nearly 51.5 million young people suffer from a mental health illness in the United States today, making it increasingly prevalent. Unfortunately, this means that a number of teens become hospitalized daily because professional help was not sought early on due to the fear of being stigmatized. Mental health needs to be normalized and Teenage Times will help encourage that. Subscribe today to continue readings blogs and help make a change.
About Me
Hi! My name is Myra Dhingra and I am the Founder of Teenage Times! I am a freshman at New York University and I created Teenage Times to help my peers and other teenagers battling with mental health issues. Since freshman year of high school, I have noticed that many people are fearful of opening up about how they are feeling and the lack of awareness and discussion about this topic just added to the stigma. My goal is to comfort anyone in this position and raise awareness. You are never alone.
